The project has three main components: rehabilitation and extension of the primary drainage system of the city of Bangui, neighborhood development (including water, sanitation, and secondary and tertiary drainage and street infrastructure), and institutional support for capacity building of agencies.

COMMENTS
There is currently no NUP. According to the World Bank’s report on CAR’s Urban Rehabilitation Project (1996), the government had an urban policy which materialized into the Municipal Development Program (MDP) in 1993.
